Orchestra prepares for first concert of the year
The first orchestra concert of the year will take place Thursday, October 16.
The orchestras that are performing include Concert Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra, and Chamber Strings.
This is the first opportunity for the orchestra to showcase the music they have been preparing since the beginning of the year.
“The highlight of all orchestra concerts is spending more time with orchestra people,” Miriam Chung, sophomore, said.
With music from composers such as Joplin and Tchaikovsky, the concert offers variety of arrangements for the crowd to listen to, according to Chung.
“The symphony orchestra [is going to play] different pieces of music, some going really fast and some that go slow as well,” Ryan Kim, sophomore, said.
Chamber Strings will also be performing some modern music, according to Kim.
Whether you are looking to widen your knowledge in orchestra music tastes or support, the orchestra concert is a great performance to attend.
