Craving Gyros has customers craving more
After months of anticipation, Craving Gyros, Greek restaurant, made its grand opening early November and customers have been coming back for more since then, according to Niki Koliopoulos, co-owner of Craving Gyros.
It’s no wonder why customers are returning.
From great customer service, to the atmosphere, and of course, the food, customers can find themselves enjoying a good meal at Craving Gyros.
Customers are immediately greeted by staff members and the restaurant feels very welcoming. The subtle, yet home-like decorations throughout the restaurant are modern and create a comfortable atmosphere customers.
With customer service being phenomenal, it’s no surprise that the authentic Greek food would be just as great and satisfying.
After a short wait from ordering at the counter, the food is prepared fast, with all meals made to order. The meals are made with all fresh ingredients, which makes the food taste even better. The portion sizes are quite fair for the relatively inexpensive price. Customers have a wide variety of meal choices to pick from, ranging from a classic gyro to chicken kebabs to salads.
Craving Gyros’ signature gyro was one of the best in the town. The gyro was served fresh right after the meal was done being prepared on a warm pita along with tomatoes, homemade tzatziki sauce, and onions. In addition to the gyro, crisp fries were also also included with the meal. Although some gyros can be made greasy or without fresh ingredients, Craving Gyros was able to make a great gyro without grease or freshness factors being an issue.
Not only are the food and customer service great, the condition and cleanliness of the restaurant is as well. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. Windows and table tops appear clean, utensils and napkins are well stocked, and lids and straws next to the soda machine are plentiful.
With inexpensive, great food, Craving Gyros has been slowly climbing their way up to be a Lake Zurich “restaurant go-to” according to Koliopoulos. Koliopoulos says she hopes to gain more customers in the future, however, she is satisfied with the progress the restaurant has made so far.
“I’m happy the restaurant is finally open. The customers are so nice. Everyone in Lake Zurich has been welcoming and very friendly,” Koliopoulos said. “I couldn’t wait to open and now that we are [open], I’m excited to see what happens next.”
