Luke Bryan Checks Out with last Spring Break album
Unfortunately as Luke Bryan does every Spring Break, he released his Spring Break album, this year Spring Break…Checkin’ Out late March. This will be Luke Bryan’s last Spring Break album, according to Bob Paxman from Country Weekly.
His last Spring Break album offers a weak closure since six out of the eleven songs were released on last year’s album, Spring Break…Like We Ain’t Ever.
One of the few new songs, “You and the Beach,” is about a man who had to leave a woman at the beach. The song is very unoriginal and cliche with lyrics like “Yeah, I was a fool to think I could just move on….Baby let’s go on and face it.”
“The problem arises as soon as Bryan begins to sing, as the lyrics for this song are garbage,” Paxman wrote in Country Weekly.
Bryan ends the album with “Spring Breakdown,” basically a farewell for his fans and a last toast to his Spring Break albums. However, this does not stop Bryan from having yet another unoriginal spring break or summer country song.
“It’s a pretty generic song and will only mean something to Bryan’s fans who loved this sub par music. I will say the hook on this song is pretty corny as Bryan utters ‘I’m about to spring breakdown’ over and over throughout the song,” Paxman said.
Check out Luke Bryan’s new Spring Break album, that is, if you are looking for cliché country music that will have you rolling your eyes and plugging your ears. The album will never reach the top.
