Ray Goren releases new album, "Songs for You"

Many might not know Ray Goren’s name or his music. And after hearing about his story, one might think that Goren blends in with the rest of those in the music industry trying to make it big in pop culture. But Goren is a no stereotype. His five song EP, “Songs For You” proves us wrong.

Even though he is only fifteen, Goren holds much talent past his years. His sound is new and unique, with a little bit of jazz mixed in with the perfect amount of guitar and piano.

“His first on the album, ‘Those Days,’ is an upbeat mixture of indie-rock with a gospel feel; it’s a good homely song that I’d recommend for the road or a long sunny travel,” Aja Franklin, from Skyline Tribune, said. “Though the second song has a rather [mature] feel, both vocals and guitar chords have an electric feel similar to the song ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ by alternative pop singer, Bruno Mars.”

Every lyric on his five-song  EP is filled with heavy soul and smooth jazz that you can’t help but tap your foot along to. It’s outstanding how talented Goren is at this age and how deep his music can be.
