Being a teenager can be stressful. Although we are expected to act like mature adults, every now and then, we should embrace the chance to remind us of our childhood. Luckily, Bear Facts has several suggestions to make you feel like a kid again.
Remember Nickelodeon’s hit TV show, Drake and Josh, from the 2000s?
“In a Reddit AMA on [February 14], [Drake Bell] announced the potential development of a movie based on the popular Nickelodeon show that aired from 2004-2007,” an article in Huffington Post reported. “Bell said that a script for the film is ‘being written,’ expressed his enthusiasm about participating and encouraged fans to ‘blow up’ social media around the idea.”
The show’s possible reappearance to television is exciting news to Drake and Josh fans.
“I’m thrilled that the show might be coming back because it was such a good show,” Ashley Pancic, junior, said. “It’s going to be weird seeing all the characters grown up though; it’ll definitely give you a different perspective.”
For some teens that grew up watching the show as a kid, the show is easier to relate to today.
“I’ve always loved Drake and Josh because the show was just so funny, and it always brought a smile to my face. Since we’re older now, we can kind of relate to some of the situations they had,” Pancic said. “When we were watching it as little kids we just thought everything was funny but didn’t understand the scenarios. Considering we are teenagers now, we can relate to some of the weird situations they faced in the show.”
Not only are the show’s situations relatable to teens, but it also brings back childhood memories of being a kid.
Other than Drake and Josh, there are other good TV shows to remind one of their past.
“I love to watch a lot of old Nickelodeon cartoons like Spongebob, CatDog, and The Amanda Show,” Pancic said. “It reminds me of when I was watching it with my family when I was younger. It was something we did for family bonding.”
Each person may have their own way of bringing back memories of their childhood, whether it is through watching old TV shows, movies, playing games, or more.
