The Band Perry, mainly known for its 2010 hit “If I Die Young,” which rose to number one on the country music chart, is now back with a bang.
Their latest album, Pioneer, released on April 2, has everything many country-lovers want in an album: a catchy country tune, a happy feel, and heart-felt lyrics. The best part is that each song is different from the next. Between tempos created by Neil and Reid Perry and messages sung by Kimberly Perry, the siblings are able to create some diversity within their music.
Ranging from their best-single in the album “Done.”, currently ranked number 31 on iTunes, to another song “End of Time,” the full spectrum of their music is present. “Done.” has an upbeat feel that just makes the listener want to get up and dance. Although the lyrics give advice of getting over others, the music adds a country spin to lift the spirits of the listeners. However, “End of Time” has a slow tempo that allows the listeners to really think about the lyrics.
The huge diversity between the songs really makes the album enjoyable for many listeners. This band will reach the top of many rankings if they keep producing albums like this. They are touring 38 cities around the country this year, from April 19 to August 18.
