The girls’ golf team roster has some different faces, including a new junior varsity coach.

“Our new JV coach is [Julie] Bryniczka, [Math Teacher] because [Kara] Dohman is a principal now at an elementary school, so she can’t coach us now,” Carolyn Radecki, senior, said.

The season started the week before school. This year’s team is bigger than before, according to Radecki.

“We have fourteen players, which is actually a lot,” Radecki said. “A couple girls left, but a lot of new freshmen came in.”

The team played two matches the first week of school on Tuesday and Wednesday, against Libertyville and Prairie Ridge respectively. Libertyville won 163 to 215, and Prairie Ridge beat Lake Zurich by one stroke, 215 to 216.
