The boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams qualified for the State meet, which is this Saturday, November 9 in Peoria, Illinois.
Each team qualified by placing top five at the Sectionals meet last weekend at Busse Woods. The girls earned fifth place, and the boys earned fourth place.
“I’m really excited for State,” Meaghan Gelinas, senior said. “I’m proud of our team and all the hard work we’ve put in to get here. I hope we run our best races and finish the season strong.”
The teams are leaving on Friday and staying overnight. There is a fan bus leaving at 8am on Saturday. The cost is $15 and the sign-up is in the athletic office.
