The Senior and Junior white teams walked off the field with victories at the annual powder puff games on Wednesday, October 3.
The junior game kicked off at 7. After the first half the white team led 30 to 22. At the end of the final game, the white team gained a bigger lead and won the game 46 to 30. As for the senior game at 8, the blue team held the lead with a score of 27 to 13 at half, but the white team came back and won with the score of 33 to 32.
“I thought both teams were equally matched,” Maria Schroeder, senior quarterback, said. “Our, [white team’s], defense did a really good job on the last drive that they had, holding them, [blue team], on fourth down to give our offense a chance to win the game.”
Even though the senior white team struggled in the first half, Schroeder said that the white team kept their heads up the whole game.
“Our offense was really confident, so we knew that if our defense held them, then we would be able to come back and win the game,” Schroeder said. “Jordan Jackson, Carly Parsons, Abby Thackray, and the whole second half defense were star players and made the win possible.”
