The Bears football team lost to the Cary-Grove Trojans this week, on Friday, August 31, with countless neon-clad students in attendance.
Lake Zurich fell behind quickly, with the deficit at 14 at the half. The final score was 21-6, with junior Sean Lynch scoring the only touchdown on an 8-yard run in the third quarter.
The defense surrendered two rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown to Cary-Grove. The loss gives the team a 1-1 record after a victory against the Fremd Vikings the previous week. They play Mundelein at home next week on September 7.
