The football team shutout Fremd 21-0 in the season opener at home Friday night, August 24.
The score was tied 0-0 during the first quarter, but during the second quarter, Connor Schrader, senior running back, scored the first touchdown of the season to put the Bears up 7-0 with 7:29 until halftime.
The Fremd Vikings turned the ball over with 1:17 seconds left in the half and Jake Stauner, senior quarterback, used that time to score another touchdown for Lake Zurich giving the Bears a 14-0 lead going into the second half.
The last touchdown happened in second half when Colton Moskal, junior, caught a pass from Matt Moon, junior, to secure the win.
The next football game is Friday at 7:15pm at Cary-Grove.
