The Lake Zurich Bears suffered their second loss of the season at Stevenson Thursday night. The Bears fell 24-17, despite tough second half efforts to take the lead.
By halftime, the Bears were down 17-0. In the second half, efforts by Zach Till, senior quarterback, and Mike Shield, senior running back, helped LZ tie the game in the third quarter.
Stevenson stopped the Bears from scoring for the rest of the game, coming up with a stop on the one yard line followed by blocking a field goal.
Till finished with 116 rushing yards in the game, and the loss leaves the Bears with a 5-2 record heading into week 8 with a Homecoming matchup versus Lake Forest.
