Assembly brings school together to celebrate Homecoming

The senior athletes dance to the song “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and many others as they show off their newly discovered dancing talent.

The entire school was on its feet cheering at the homecoming assembly, Friday October 7, showing its school spirit and supporting its clubs.

This year the traditional Senior Athlete Dance was accompanied with performances from the Marching Band, Cheerleading, Poms, and Boys’ Poms.

“The Boys’ Pom team was probably my favorite part of the assembly because they’re really entertaining,” LuzMaria Ramirez, junior, said. “It just helps me feel the school spirit.”

It wasn’t just Ramirez who felt the school spirit, as the student body ecstatically cheered on their classmates’ performances throughout the course of the assembly.

“I think we did good because we really worked hard to make this [performance] the best it could be,” Kelly Brenner, a sophomore on Poms, said. “Our captains worked really hard and everyone just came together to work as a team.”

On top of the performances, it is also nice to see everybody come together and show their school spirit, according to Brenner.

“I think the assembly is important because it just brings everyone together,” Ramirez said. “Everyone’s cheering and it just feels like the crowd’s involved.”
