Student Council will be hosting an Outdoor Movie Night this Thursday, September 1 at 7pm on the football field. All students and faculty members are invited to bring pillows, blankets, food and friends to watch Napoleon Dynamite.

“Napoleon Dynamite is a classic film,” Alex Li, senior said. “It is funny without being too inappropriate, while still being relatable. With the school year starting up, Napoleon Dynamite is a great lead-in, with many of the themes in the movie being prevalent in current student life.”

Li believes that Napoleon Dynamite is a great lead in to school and he wants students to go to the Outdoor Movie Night to get involved and meet new people as soon as possible.

“It’s important to develop a sense of belonging to the LZHS community by support events such as these,” Li said. “I’m looking forwards to the dances, my last set of finals, and Mr. LZ.”

With Homecoming in a short five weeks, it is not hard to get involved at the school. Some other events coming up are the Girls’ Powderpuff Football Game, the Bears’ BBQ and the Homecoming Dance.
