LZHS hosts summer job fair for students looking for employment
The second annual summer job fair will be held on Friday, February 26, in the library, to help students find a job.
“We would like for our students to be employed and to have job experience so they could earn extra cash,” Jeanette Greco, career site mentor, said.
There are a variety of businesses, like Six Flags, YMCA, and Panera, that are looking to employ students.
“I think it’s a good experience for the kids because the get their first job,” Ryan Lujano, junior, said. “It’s easier for [the students] to get a job and they don’t have to go out on the streets and look for one.”
According to Greco, some places offer jobs to multiple students while others only hire a few.
“There will be some places that hire 14 to 15 year olds, and there will be applications for them to fill out on the computers,” Greco said.
According to Greco, the job fair is a great way to get to know the different businesses around town that eventually need employees.
