Culinary Arts Classes made Homemade Cookies for Charity Bash
The Culinary Arts classes baked homemade cookies to sell for Charity Bash on the week of December 7 through 11. This Charity Bash event was a success.
Marie Baker, Family and Consumer Science teacher, had the students in her Culinary Arts class make cookies to sell for Charity Bash, just like every year. This year, however, the class is selling cookies.
“It’s not really different [from previous years] because usually for Charity Bash, I have my students in my Culinary Arts class make something and sell it because it’s an easy way to make money and the whole idea of Charity Bash is students helping students, so students made the food and they’re selling it to other students who give their money that then goes to the Charity,” Baker said.
Baker said she is really looking forward to seeing how much money her students can raise for ALCA.
“[Students should participate in this event] so they all can kind of come together for a good cause because that’s what Charity Bash is all about,” Baker said.
