Accessing Twitter using school WiFi
Students and staff are now able to access Twitter using the school Wi-Fi, whether it is on classroom computers, school issued iPads, or their own personal devices.
“It was determined to be an important curricular resource that fit within the framework of providing a safe digital environment for Lake Zurich high school students by the School and District Administration,” Paul Wakefield, network manager, said.
“Luckily for students Twitter can come in handy in many different situations for school. There are school pages like the LZHS Bear Den page which updates us what to wear for football themes and just overall to keep up with the sports and getting updates for when things change,” Ryan Eder, senior, said.
“Resources like Twitter can be available to students if a staff member requests it,” Wakefield said. “The resource also has to be evaluated and considered before it is granted approval.”
