The annual Auction Wall will be held on February 18-20 for all students and faculty members. LZHS members can bid on items such as gift certificates or gift baskets, and all of the money raised will go to the St. Baldrick’s foundation, according to Shannon McGeever, senior and Student Council vice president.

Through January 25, Student Council members will visit local community businesses to ask for donations for the Auction Wall. Businesses that donate will also get a tax reduction. However, the donations do not need to be from businesses only.

“Students can also donate items to the wall to support Charity Bash. If you have a donation, contact Mr. Bennett [Student Council sponsor],” said McGeever.

On February 18, the items will go up in the cafeteria until the end of the week, where the highest bidder will receive the item, according to Emma Wenckowski, sophomore and Student Council Auction Wall chair.

“The Auction Wall is one of our most successful activities, said Wenckowski, “It has raised more than $83,000 in total.”
