Dodgeball tournament to raise money for Charity Bash
On Thursday, December 17, Charity Bash will hold its annual dodgeball tournament to raise money for this year’s elected charity, St. Baldricks’ Foundation.
The tournament, run by members of National Honor Society (NHS), will start at 7pm in the Field House and Tonelli Gyms and is open to all high school students.
“Well, usually this is a PE leader run event so this is the first year that NHS is running the high school event,” Brianna Wold, NHS senior and event chair said.
Besides making the switch, NHS has kept everything in the tournament the same, according to Wold.
The goal is the same from last year. To get as much participation as possible. There are 26 different teams participating in the event.
“Our hopes is to raise the most amount of money as possible. We don’t have a set monetary goal yet, but just in general to get as much people to attend the event,” Wold said. “We want it to be as successful as possible.”
Wold is personally in charge of organizing all the signups and brackets, the event will be completely run by NHS members, from advertising the tournament to being referees in the game.
