The Board approved the plan to purchase two new cars for the Drivers Ed program at the high school. Presently, the plan is to buy two Ford Tauruses.
The total cost for the two vehicles is $35,242, which includes the license, delivery, and other fees, according to the District website.
“The tentative plan is for one Camry to be traded in and one Camry to be redeployed for another purpose within the District,” Vicky Cullinan, assistant superintendent of business and operations, said.
The District has been short on vehicles this winter, which is why they want to keep one of the cars within the District.
According to Cullinan, the new cars are set to be delivered in 8-10 weeks.
