Bare Voices and Blue Notes will perform in the PAC tomorrow, February 25.
The concert begins at 7:30pm and is expected to go until 9:30. Both Blue Notes, a women’s show choir, and Bare Voices, a co-ed a cappella group, will be singing Beatles songs. Bare Voices is dressing up as the Beatles and Beatles fans.
Courtney Russ, a junior in Blue Notes, says her favorite song is “the ‘Hello-Goodbye’ melody because it’s a fun song that you can dance to,” adding that coming to the concert is “a good way to listen to the old songs.” Mary Sinclair, a junior in Bare Voices, says she is “most excited to perform ‘I Am the Walrus’ because it took [Bare Voices] a long time to learn and it’s in eight parts,” adding that there are many sound effects that they recreate with their voices.
Russ says people should come because “the choreography is fun to watch, and I think people would enjoy it,” while Sinclair added the concert is sure to be great because Bare Voices has been working on the music for a while, saying they have even “started some songs during our summer camp.”
