The Lake Zurich Cheerleading Program at the high school is hosting a cheer clinic at the high school on Saturday, February 15.
The clinic is open to girls grades kindergarten through eighth grade and goes from 8am until noon.
“I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with the future cheerleaders of Lake Zurich High School,” Heather McCabe, senior, varsity cheerleader, said. “The clinic is a great way to help our program grow and a fun event for the girls participating.”
During the clinic the LZHS cheerleaders will be split up coaching different age groups of girls their dance and cheer, and then they will practice tumbling and stunting with them.
The girls have the opportunity to perform at halftime of the boys basketball game on Saturday evening. They will be performing the dance and cheer each age group learns during the clinic.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt, snack, and two tickets to the basketball game on Saturday evening, according to the information sheet for the clinic.
