The preschool is busy this holiday season preparing for a Holiday celebration to mark the end of the first session of the 2013-2014 school year.
The Little Bears Preschool will be having a holiday show on Wednesday, December 18 and Thursday, December 19. It will be held at 9:15-10:00am during 2nd and 3rd period. The children will sing a variety of holiday songs.
Rosemary Caparelli, Child Development teacher and preschool coordinator has been encouraging the kids to “sing very loud for a special visitor, Santa” Caparelli said. “(Caparelli) sent a letter to Santa saying that he would come only if (the kids) sing very loud” Caparelli said.
Jessica Baum, senior, Child Development student, has been helping Caparelli prepare the kids for the show.
“Santa will be giving the kids small presents during a reception that follows” Baum said. There will be a reception following the show with cookies and juice there will also be an opportunity to take pictures with Santa.
Veronika Paprocka, senior, Child Development student, is very excited for the holidays.
“Being in the preschool, I am “feeding” off of the kids’ excitement. It feels like I get to relive childhood” Paprocka said. “The kids are the most excited, they are bouncing off the walls” Paprocka said.
”The show will take place in the small auditorium and everybody will be dressed up” Baum said. “The children wear blinking red noses and reindeer tails and the child development students wear elf suits” Caparelli said.
“When I am up on the stage the kid’s reaction is the best it warms my heart and puts me in the Christmas spirit” Paprocka said.
The kids have not had a dull moment this holiday season because they have been very busy with an assortment of many fun activities
“The kids have been very busy preparing for the holiday season they have had a snowball fight, holiday season, made ornaments, and read stories for the holidays” Caparelli said.
“I encourage everyone to go to the show because the kids are spontaneous and you never know what they might do” Caparelli said.
