LZHS is having its annual Open House tonight from 6:45 PM to 9:10 PM. Parents will be able to roam the halls and meet with teachers and faculty.
“It’s good putting a face with a name and seeing what happens during class time,” Tim Dailey, English teacher, said. “It doesn’t hurt to know what’s going on in class throughout the year.”
Dailey recommends that all parents come. Every teacher is required to be at Open House to give their ten minute presentations to any parents who attend.
“Ten minutes is a good length,” Dailey said. “[Teachers] can say a little bit about [themselves] and a lot about the class.”
Parents follow their students’ schedule with five minute passing periods. Spanish Club will be hosting a bake sale for parents to stop buy during these passing periods.
The Bear Booster store will be open for school spirit wear. National Honor Society volunteers will be directing parents to the appropriate classrooms.
