Students may have four new AP classes to choose from next year if LZHS’s new course proposals are approved by the Board of Education.
Eric Hamilton, assistant principal for curriculum and instruction, presented the initial course proposals for AP World History, Macroeconomics, Psychology, and Environmental Science courses to the Board of Education last Thursday.
“I think there will be support for the classes,” Hamilton said. “Because of the high amount of kids going to college, it’s nice to give them this opportunity.”
The Board of Education will make its final decision about the AP classes by the end of October so any new courses can appear in the Program of Studies for next year.
