F.A.M.E. students conduct food drive for local food bank

Freshman in the FAME program are conducting a food drive to collect food for a local food bank.

“All of the F.A.M.E. classes are having a competition called ‘F.A.M.E. games,’ and we’re partnering with [National Honor Society] to collect as many food items as possible. The way the deans are scoring is by taking the average weight of items and average amount of kids per class and then whoever’s average weight per person is the highest will win,” Sydney Shadrick, Junior F.A.M.E. leader, said.

The students can bring these food items to their F.A.M.E. class for their leaders to collect. The deans will be keeping track of the scores for each class to determine a winner.

“Our main mission would be to get the F.A.M.E. classes involved with the school, to show the rest of the school the amazing things that these classes can do, as well as donate to the food bank to help as many people as we can,” Shadrick said.

The class of 2019 is ready to make a difference through ‘F.A.M.E games.’
