Seniors tackle final powderpuff game
As night fell on Mel Eide Field Wednesday night, eighty four senior girls smeared on eye black and hand prints as they prepared for a night under the lights: which just so happened to be the last powderpuff game of their high school careers.
Cold temperatures and a late start did not weigh down the spirit of the two teams, with the black team scoring on the first drive of the game. From there, the game went back and forth with both teams scoring frequently, but in the end black emerged victorious with a final score of 33-27.
“My favorite part of [powderpuff] is how into it everyone gets,” Emily Udelhoven, senior punt returner, said. “I’m really going to miss uniting with all of my classmates and meeting new friends while we play together and have fun”.
